All students are required to speak with your academic advisor prior to applying for credentials to determine if they are eligible for graduation by the application deadline. Deadlines for each semester is posted on the Graduation Information page.
- Missing the deadline to apply may cause a delay in being awarded your credential to the next semester.
- If you have missed the deadline to apply for graduation, please reach out to your assigned academic advisor for instructions.
How to Apply for Graduation:
- Print and fill out the Graduation Application and Graduation Verification Form
- For Associate in Arts/Science degree students: Complete step one and submit the completed documents to the Welcome Center at College or Technology Drive. You can also email your application to AS_Registrar@kctcs.edu
- For Associate of Applied Science degree OR diploma OR certificate students: Schedule a program review with your advisor and/or your program coordinator. Bring the Graduation Application and Verification Form to this meeting. You or your program coordinator then need to submit your application to the Welcome Center.
- Complete the Graduate Exit Survey
- Review the Financial Aid Information
Notifications sent to students that have applied for graduation:
- Graduation applicants who have not met requirements will be notified by e-mail, to their KCTCS Student Email address.
- Graduation applications are not finalized until after grades are posted at the end of each semester.
- Eligible graduates are sent letters in early April inviting them to participate in the graduation ceremonies. August & December graduates may participate as well.
