Tuition rates are standard at all KCTCS colleges; however, there may be additional charges for customized courses and services depending on which college you attend. If you live in a state that borders Kentucky, please review your college-specific listing at the Contiguous Counties webpage to determine if your county would be under the Contiguous or the Reciprocity Agreement. There are no application charges when applying for any of the KCTCS colleges.
NOTE: A mandatory BuildSmart charge will be assessed for each credit hour at all colleges. Summer students will be charged $8 per credit hour for the Summer and $8 per credit hour starting in the Fall term. This new $8 per credit hour charge will be used to fund new facilities or renovate existing buildings.
Distance Learning Course Change Charge (assessed to online courses in order to offset the extra technological and student service support cost that are associated with online learning classes): $20/credit hour
Additional ACTC Fees
In addition to tuition, there are the following additional charges (as applicable):
- Professional Liability Insurance: $11 per semester for Surgical Tech, Nursing, Nurse Aid, Early Childhood Development, Medical Information Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Phlebotomy, Medical Assisting, and Radiography.
- HESI Test: $57-78 for Health Sciences programs, including but not limited to Nursing, Surgical Technology.
- NLN Test: $70
- Proctoring Fee: $10 per exam
