International Transcript Translation and Evaluation Requirements
KCTCS colleges do not evaluate foreign transcripts for transfer credit. Students who wish to have international coursework considered must have their transcripts translated and evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation agency.
Transcript Evaluation Requirements
To be considered for transfer credit, international college transcripts must:
- Be translated, if the original documents are not in English.
- Be evaluated by a NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) member agency.
- Include a course-by-course evaluation.
Important
The following evaluation types are not accepted for transfer credit:
- Document-by-document evaluations
- General credential evaluations that do not include a course-by-course analysis
Students are responsible for any costs associated with transcript evaluation services.
Submitting Evaluation Reports
After the evaluation is complete, instruct the evaluation agency to send an official report directly to your chosen KCTCS college's Admissions Office or designated International Admissions Officer.
Some KCTCS colleges also accept official electronic evaluations through the evaluator's secure online delivery system.
It is recommended that the official evaluation report also be emailed to the appropriate Admissions Officer when available.
