My financial situation has changed. What can I do to see if I qualify for more financial assistance?

Changes in Financial Circumstances and Financial Aid Eligibility

If your financial situation has changed since you submitted your FAFSA, you may be able to request a review of your financial aid eligibility through a Recalculation Request Form, also known as a Special Circumstances Form.

How to Request a Review

Recalculation Request Forms are available through the Financial Aid Office and are not available online.

Before receiving the form, you must speak with a Financial Aid Specialist.

Required Documentation

When submitting a Recalculation Request Form, you must provide:

  • Prior-year income information
  • Prior-year tax information (if taxes were filed)
  • A typed written statement explaining your special circumstances
  • Any supporting documentation related to your situation

Processing Time

Once all required documentation has been submitted, requests may take up to 10 business days to process.
