A student who has completed and passed an industry standard certification examination administered by an authorized testing center may earn credit hours equivalent to the course(s) within the program of study.
Some certifications can be given credit by emailing documentation to the Records Office at ectcrecordsoffice@kctcs.edu. Others may require the student to take a STEP exam.
If needed, the Records Office will direct the student to the appropriate Program Coordinator as some industry certificates have very specific requirements.
