How and When You Will Receive Your Refund

Disbursement Process

Before a refund is issued, your financial aid must go through the disbursement process.

Refund Processing

After disbursement:

  • Any excess funds will be refunded to you
    • Refunds are processed by the Business Office, sent to BankMobile, who then disburses your refund to your selected refund preference.
       
  • To avoid delays, set up your refund preference as early as possible
    • Note: Any changes to your refund preference will apply to future refunds only.

Important Dates

  • If your classes begin August 17th, 2026, your financial aid refund may begin processing on September 23rd, 2026.
  • If your classes begin September 14th, 2026, your financial aid refund may begin processing on October 21st, 2026.
  • If your classes begin October 14th, 2026, your financial aid refund may begin processing on November 4th, 2026.

Ongoing Refund Schedule

After the initial refund:

  • Refunds are processed weekly
  • Funds awarded before Wednesday are sent to BankMobile every Thursday morning

Delivery by Refund Preference

  • BankMobile Vibe Card:
    • Funds available Thursday after 4:00 PM
       
  • ACH (Direct Deposit):
    • Funds available Friday after 4:00 PM (timing may vary by bank)

Additional Information

  • Students who paid using a payment plan will receive refunds through their BankMobile refund preference
  • Students who do not select a refund preference will receive a mailed check after 5 business days

Tracking Your Refund and Managing Your Account

  • BankMobile will send an email notification to the address you provided during preference activation when your refund has been processed
  • You can access, monitor, and view refund details by logging into the BankMobile website
  • You may also sign up for Mobile Alerts to receive text message updates directly to your cell phone
