I have some industry certifications. Can I get college credit for these?

A student who has completed and passed an industry standard certification examination administered by an authorized testing center may earn credit hours equivalent to the course(s) within the program of study.

Some certifications can be given credit immediately through the Senate Rules and others may need to use documentation in a portfolio or they may need to take a STEP test.

Students interested in credit for industry certifications should consult the program coordinator in that area because there may be stipulations that have to be met such as specific scores, time limits, etc.

The coordinator will contact the Registrar to review your certificates, etc. to determine eligibility for credit.
