Do I Have to Have My International Transcripts Translated and/or Evaluated?

Yes. KCTCS colleges do not evaluate foreign transcripts for transfer credit. International transcripts must be translated and evaluated by a NACES member agency before they can be considered.

  • Students must select a NACES member agency of their choice.
  • KCTCS relies on private academic credentialing agencies to complete evaluations.
  • Evaluation fees apply and are paid directly to the evaluation agency.

Transcript Evaluation Requirements

To be accepted by Admissions:

  • International college transcripts must include a course‑by‑course evaluation completed by a NACES member.
  • Document‑by‑document evaluations or evaluations without course‑by‑course details will not be accepted for transfer credit.

Submitting the Evaluation

Students must instruct the evaluation agency to:

  • Mail an official evaluation report directly to the college’s Admissions Office or the designated International Admissions Officer.
  • Ensure the report is also emailed to the Admissions Officer.
