Admission Requirements
Who Can Apply?
Students must submit a new admissions application if they:
- Are enrolling at a KCTCS college for the first time.
- Have not attended a KCTCS college for one full fall or spring semester.
KCTCS colleges admit students in several categories, including:
- First-time freshmen
- Transfer students with advanced standing from another institution
- Visiting students
- Non-degree seeking students
Students may be admitted if they:
- Graduated from a public high school.
- Graduated from a certified non-public high school.
- Earned a General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
How to Apply
To begin the admissions process, submit an admissions application.
Application Processing
- Applications are typically processed within 7–10 business days of submission.
- Once your application has been processed, KCTCS will contact you using the email address provided on your application.
- Information about enrollment and next steps will be included in your acceptance letter.
