Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship Program for High School Students

The Work Ready Dual Credit Scholarship helps Kentucky high school students pay for eligible dual credit courses that are part of a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway approved by the Kentucky Department of Education.

Scholarship Coverage

  • The scholarship is limited to two approved CTE dual credit courses per school year.
  • Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Process

Students do not apply directly at the beginning of the process.

  1. A participating Kentucky high school submits information to KHEAA identifying students enrolled in eligible CTE pathway coursework.
  2. KHEAA creates a scholarship link in each student's MyKHEAA account.
  3. Students complete and submit the required information through their MyKHEAA account.
  4. Awards are determined based on the date the requested information is submitted.

Award Status

Students can monitor their scholarship status through their MyKHEAA account.

Receiving Scholarship Funds

If awarded, scholarship funds are sent directly to the college and applied to the student's account.
