Can I get back in a course if I was dropped?

Body

To avoid being dropped from your courses, please ensure that you make payment arrangements before the deadline.

  • If you set up a payment plan or make any payment on your account, once your financial aid is disbursed the excess aid will be refunded back to you.
  • If you receive financial aid such as grants, scholarships, Work Ready, third-party assistance, or KEES awards, you will not be dropped for non-payment if the college has placed an no cancellation (NOC) hold on your account.
  • If you have any extenuating circumstances or need assistance with payment plans, please contact your local KCTCS College Business Office.
  • If unable to make payment arrangements, you may consider starting your courses in the next available 12-Week or 8-Week sessions for the semester.

If you were dropped but have been participating:

If an error has occurred and a student has been participating, the student must contact the instructor to request to be reinstated. The instructor will then email the BCTC Records Office requesting reinstatement. Requests from students will not be accepted without instructor permission.

If you were dropped for non-payment:

  • Students that are un-enrolled from their courses during closed registration dates due to non-payment must complete the reinstatement process.
    • Students can complete the online Non Payment Course Reinstatement Form or they can request the form by emailing the Registrar at Bluegrass-StudentRecords@kctcs.edu.
    • Payment of tuition and all course related charges/fees is due upon reinstatement and may be subject to a $75.00 Reinstatement Charge. Failure to make payment in full or have an approved payment arrangement in place may result in a Financial Hold being placed on the student account preventing future enrollment.
