Where do I request my High School, GED, LOGS or Previous College Transcript for admission?

High School Transcripts

If you graduated from a Kentucky high school after July 2013, you may go to Parchment to order a transcript.

If you graduated before 2013 or from a high school outside of Kentucky, you will need to contact your high school to have a copy sent to the college. Some high schools may charge a processing fee. If the high school you attended is no longer open, you may contact the Board of Education in the county your high school was located in to request a transcript. Please keep in mind some school boards may charge a processing fee.

Instructions for ordering HS Transcripts:

1. Log into Parchment

2. Select Create Account in the top right-hand of the page to establish an account.

3. Once you have set up your account, you can then order and track your high school transcripts.

Home Schooled Students:

Home schooled students will need to have their parent provide a transcript. Transcripts should be sent to the college Admissions Office.

GED Transcripts

To request your GED transcript, visit the GED Transcripts website and choose the state in which you earned your GED credential OR Parchment (type “GED –“  to search if your state is available). Fees may vary by state. As of September 2024, Kentucky fees for a GED Transcript (electronic or printed) is $18. Please see the GED order website for the most up-to-date fee information.

HiSET (GED Alternative) Transcripts

The HiSET exam is an alternative to the standard GED and is accepted by all KCTCS colleges. For more information, visit The HiSET Exam website.

College Transcripts

To ensure you are not blocked from any courses that require prerequisites, you must submit official transcripts. You will make the request for your college transcript through the Registrar's Office or the website of your previous institution.

If we are requesting transcripts from a college that you never attended, you will need to obtain proof in the form of a Letter of Non-Enrollment or statement from the Registrar's Office of that institution.

If you attended an institution in Kentucky that closed, you may find more information about obtaining a transcript the Kentucky CPE - Contacts for Closed Institutions website.

If any previous institution is withholding your transcript due to a balance owed with them, you will need to work out payment arrangements with that institution.

Letter of Good Standing (LOGS)

Letters of Good Standing are typically provided by your home institution in the Registrar's Office. Some schools also allow you to request them electronically. Please reach out to your home institution for assistance requesting a Letter of Good Standing.
