When does registration begin?
- Spring Registration Begins: October 1
- Summer and Fall Registration Begins: March 1

How can I view available classes?
A complete list of courses offered is available on the KCTCS Visual Schedule Builder. For course descriptions or program requirements, you may view the KCTCS Catalog online. You may also reach out to your advisor or the Advising Center. Advisors can provide information about courses that may not be available at that college.
I am a current student; can I register myself or add a course online?
Owensboro does NOT allow Self enrollment. Current student must make an appointment with their Student Success Coach for enrollment each semester.
If you do not have self-enroll permission, you will receive an error that states “You do not have access to enrollment at this time.” and will need to reach out to your assigned advisor for assistance. Advisor contact information is available on your Student Self-Service in MyPath under the Manage Classes tile.
Visiting students:
Visiting Student are advised and enrolled through the OCTC START Center.
Additional Registration Information for OCTC Students
Students missing documents are notified by email about what needs to take place to complete their admissions file. Students that are ready to register are notified by email with directions on their next steps.
Freshmen and non-credential seeking applicants (which includes HS students) are encouraged to visit the START Center at 4800 New Hartford Rd, email at octc.startcenter@kctcs.edu or call (270) 686-4522. No appointment is necessary.
Students admitted under academic probation are served by the Counseling Center email octc.counseling@kctcs.edu or call (270) 686-4418.
Re-admit / Transfer Students - schedule an appointment with the Pathfinder Den by calling (270) 686-4683 or email octc.pathfinderden@kctcs.edu.
