My financial situation has changed. What can I do to see if I qualify for more financial assistance?
The Office of Financial Aid can take into account special circumstances, which may affect your need, on a case-by-case basis. Reasons that may be considered for a Special Circumstances Review include loss of income due to layoff, disability, divorce, separation or loss of untaxed benefits etc. If you are interested in a Special Circumstance, please select your college below to begin the process.
Students should obtain the Recalculation Form from the Financial Aid Office. Students will also be required to provide documentation of a loss / change of income and supporting documentation. A statement is also required for the reason of the request with dates explaining the situation.
You can make the request at any time during the academic year. Once you return all the completed forms along with all required supporting documentation, a decision will be reached and communicated to you within 2-4 weeks via your KCTCS email.
