Can I get back in a course if I was dropped

Body

To avoid being dropped from your courses, please ensure that you make payment arrangements before the deadline.

  • If you set up a payment plan or make any payment on your account, once your financial aid is disbursed the excess aid will be refunded back to you.
  • If you receive financial aid such as grants, scholarships, Work Ready, third-party assistance, or KEES awards, you will not be dropped for non-payment if the college has placed an no cancellation (NOC) hold on your account.
  • If you have any extenuating circumstances or need assistance with payment plans, please contact your local KCTCS College Business Office.
  • If unable to make payment arrangements, you may consider starting your courses in the next available 12-Week or 8-Week sessions for the semester.

Students dropped for non-payment may be subject to a Reinstatement Charge and or a Late Payment Charge of $75 depending on the college.

Students requesting reinstatement will need the following:

  • Written permission from the instructor. This may be done by email or drop/add form.
  •  Approval from the Financial Aid Office and the Business Office.

Once these are obtained, the student may be re-enrolled into the course. If the student is reinstated into the course(s), a $75 Reinstatement Charge will be assessed.
